Karnataka German Technical Training Institute (KGTTI) is established by Karnataka German Multi Skill Development Centre (KGMSDC) society. The primary mission of the Training Center is to conduct a broad based multidisciplinary vocational training in various Industrial Technical Fields, directed towards the development of skills and trades and to become a world class training center that represents specialized trade training programs in alignment with the Industry requirements across the globe. Sister institutes are set up at Bangalore, Kalaburagi, Belgavi, Mangaluru, and Hubbali.


All programs follow German vocational education and training standards that are demand oriented and directly imply a close relationship with industry. To provide International Standards and Hands-on training the center is equipped with extensive state-of-art training facilities which are incomparable.

With its world-class vocational training centers, KGTTI has set a benchmark in skill development. The focus is to offer skill-specific training that will help students find excellent job opportunities in the global workplace and encourage entrepreneurship among the youth.

KGMSDC society is recognized by Government of India and Government of Karnataka with technical support of German International Services (GIZ-IS). Objective : This course is all about installing, dismantling, removing, replacing a range of components down to subassembly level right from pick-up unit / point of measurement and linking Either directly to the instrument or to the instrument panel. Objective : Properly interact with customers to understand their requirements and build confidence for installation and repair work of the L M Vehicle. • Identifying & diagnosis of the operational fault responsible for the root cause of the vehicle trouble. Assist in taking necessary action post the root cause analysis to repair the vehicle. Carry out routine service and minor repairs of mechanical & electrical aggregates of the LM vehicle.• The ability to work as a team member to achieve the required deliverables on schedule, solving problems in the course of working and for the quality and accuracy of the work produced as per guidelines from supervisor.

Content of the course :

  • Diagnosis of faults and troubleshooting problems in a vehicle (of both mechanical and electrical aggregates) and .
  • Take necessary repair action post the root cause analysis. The diagnosis would include diesel, petrol, CNG, electrical and hybrid vehicles across 2-wheelers, 3- wheelers and 4-wheelers (including passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles).
  • Interpret the symptoms and diagnose the problems in the customer’s L M Vehicle by carrying out basic tests, Engine cycle check, Transmission, Suspension, Brake, interiors and other parts. Perform repairing all types’ of mechanical faults in L M Vehicle.
  • Assess quality of work through inspection.
  • Perform under supervision and as per instructions given, taking personal responsibility for some actions, solving problems in the course of working and for the quality and accuracy of the work produced.

Objective : Set-up, prepare & Perform MMAW-TIG-MIG-Welding welding operations interpreting the right information, right consumables and raw materials, etc. and use the same in a safe manner ensuring safety for self, others and the work environment. Assess weld quality through visual inspection. The candidate will be expected to perform under supervision and as per instructions given, taking personal responsibility for some actions, solving problems in the course of working and for the quality and accuracy of the work produced.

Content of the course : The course provides training in

  • MMAW-SMAW 250 Hrs.
    • Performing manual metal arc welding (MMAW) welding also known as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) for producing various types of joints on carbon and low alloy steels in 1G/1F, 2G/2F, 3G/3F and 4G/4F welding positions as per specific instructions given.
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG/GTAW) 100 Hrs.
